OH GOSH LET'S FLOSS 08.03.07 -------------- Once again, TSE is hitting the road. This east coast/midwest tour will feature The Wedding (Brave New World), make sure you check those guys out. They're sick. They're beyond sick. They're like, terminal. Uh anyway check our Myspace page for tour dates, including a Statesboro show shortly after we return home (PARTY). If you're like Nips and buy all your music on iTunes because you're too lazy to go to a store or download Limewire, you can now purchase the 'Hide Them In The Cemetery' EP online through the iTunes store. Click HERE or click on the button to the right. Either way, buy it. It's the mod thing to do. - Pablo Diablo
'HIDE THEM IN THE CEMETERY' OUT NOW 05.09.07 -------------- We'll be on tour again for the next month, to support the release of the new Hide Them In The Cemetery EP, out now on Tried By Fire Records. We'll be on the road for about a month and a half with Vanna (Epitaph), Twelve Gauge Valentine (Solid State), and Bloodjinn (Pluto) on the 'War Wagon' Tour. Be sure to go to our Myspace page and check tour dates to see if we're hitting your town. - Pablo Diablo
ON THE ROAD AGAIN 02.15.07 -------------- We're on tour again, until March 3. We'll be playing a few shows with the righteous dudes in 1994, and when we get to FL we'll be hopping onto another tour with the also righteous dudes in Red Lipstick Letter. We'll be touring again in April, to support the release of 'Hide Them In The Cemetery' on Tried By Fire Records. It will more or less be a re-release of Disco Inferno, but will also have Fillmore, a bonus track, our music video for Paper Cup Castles, and some bonus footage on it. - Pablo Diablo
BACK IN BUSINESS 12.16.06 -------------- The time to mourn has passed. We bid a fond farewell to China White, the van who was so good to us. Except for the gas-guzzling and never-fully-functioning air conditioner. We now officially have a bus and we're excited to get back on the road. We'll have our new merch in by mid-December, and we'll be playing a few shows around the southeast before our tour next January. The last three shows we've showed up in Nips' Isuzu Rodeo, and needless to say, the longer drives were no picnic. Thanks to Matt V. for putting on a great show in Statesboro, and thanks to everybody who's supported us through this time of vanlessness. When the descriptive noun 'vanlessness' is entered into Webster's, I better get some credit. - Pablo Diablo

ZOMBIES ATE MY HOMEWORK 04.30.06 -------------- Hey! We've had a lot of fun in recent weeks, and have had the pleasure of hanging out with some really cool bands. Everybody needs to check out Sullivan, Remove The Veil, A Kiss For Jersey, and My Hero Is Me. We're taking a couple of weeks off from shows to work on some new material and prepare for our tour coming up in August with Broken Image. Be sure to check them out, and don't forget that the eyes of a ranger on upon you. - Pablo Diablo
LEX LUGEEEER 04.30-06 -------------- We'd like to give a huge thank-you to Aaron and 105.3 The Buzz for playing Paper Cup Castles and for plugging us. You can check out Paper Cup Castles and a few other songs on our Myspace. If you live anywhere near Chattanooga, TN, be sure to head up to Club Fathom on June 7. We'll be playing with Anberlin, Sullivan, and Actress. - Pablo Diablo
DON'T MESS WITH... 04-30-06 -------------- We'd like to thank everybody for coming out to our last few shows, they've been a blast. We have a new Myspace, at myspace.com/thesilentescapeatl. Be sure to go add that one and delete the old one, and tell everybody you know!!! - Pablo Diablo
AWESOME! 04-30-06 -------------- Thanks to everybody who came out to our CD release and made it totally awesome. It was all kinds of fun, and thanks for buying tons of cd's and stuff and helping us get out of debt. Tell all your friends who couldn't make it to the show that the CD is awesome and it probably cures all forms of illness and brings world peace and goodwill towards men. Unless they don't like that stuff. In that case it causes disease and catastrophic war. Either way they should buy it. It's different for everybody, like religion. Make sure you check out all the bands that played with us, they're all amazing and they're all really cool dudes. Buy a CD!!! - Pablo Diablo
DISCO INFERNO! 02-11-06 -------------- After many months saying "We'll have a new EP out pretty soon.", the Disco Inferno! EP is finally going to see the light of day. We're having a CD release soiree at The Vineyard CC on April 28, so you better come and bring your mom and her hot friend. You can go to our Myspace and listen to 3 out of 5 of the songs that'll be on the EP. We'll be playing with Love Takes Flight, Kenotia, and like 80,000 other bands (five) so seriously, tell everybody you know. It's gonna be a big fun party. Did I mention you can go to our Myspace and listen to 3 out of 5 of the songs that'll be on the EP? Thanks to everyone who has patiently waited for like 7 months to hear 2 weeks worth of work. By the way, we'll be announcing some exciting news very soon concerning...something cool. - Pablo Diablo
FOURSQUARE: THE ONLY TRUE SPORT 02-11-06 -------------- Well, our tour with The Arrival was a blast. We love those guys to death, but thanks to 3 cans of silly string, a shopping cart, a huge bag of confetti/glitter and about 30 bottle rockets shot at their van, they might hate us. Thanks to everybody who came out to the shows, the tour exceeded our expectations, and it's all because you came to see us dance around onstage, doing what we love. We should be done with our new 4-song EP soon, and we just recorded 2 songs for a compilation with Jason Andrews of Spotlight Sound Studio. We'll be putting a song or two from each on our Myspace within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned. Lastly, we have two relatively new tshirt designs, which we'll be posting on the Merch page pretty soon. We played with Love Takes Flight last night, those guys are our favorite. Ask them about JR's party! Be there! - Pablo Diablo
THERE'S A LOT OF DUDE IN THIS VAN 01-12-06 -------------- We're going on tour with The Arrival starting January 27 in Chattanoogervile, TN. Check out our Myspace for more details. We've also ordered two new t-shirt designs for your viewing, wearing, and hopefully buying pleasure. - Pablo Diablo
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS! 12-24-05 -------------- Merry Christmas everybody!!! Help fight consumerism by not going to the mall!!! - Pablo Del Pueblo?
THE DEPUTY 12-15-05 -------------- We have quite the compendium of shows these following months...the first of which is tomorrow! It'll be in Savannah, GA at Le Mort Rouge. There will be a ton of bands there, go to The Silent Escape's Myspace for more details. On December 20, we'll be playing with Across Five Aprils, Calico System, Hand To Hand, Love Takes Flight, and Barnslee at The Zone in Dalton, GA. Our early 2006 tour will begin in late January, and hopefully we'll have the EP ready to go for your listening stimulation. - Pablo Diablo
NOW THAT THAT'S OVER 12-03-05 -------------- For those of you wondering when the new EP will be out...we don't know either! But we do know that Brandon is almost done, because he's tearing right through the recording process, because he can sing good and doesn't have to auto-tune each take to see if it's salvageable. As soon as Brandon's done, it'll be up to Andy Riley and Lee March to mix and master the recording and then *poof* we have an EP for your listening pleasure. In the meantime, go be our friend on Myspace and listen to our old recording, and know that the new one is worth the wait. - Pablo Diablo
CHANGES 11-14-05 -------------- For those of you who don't have Myspace...????!!, The Silent Escape have decided to part ways with vocalist Donny Evans due to personal and creative differences. There's no bad blood from TSE's perspective, so hopefully life can go on with minimal drama. We'd like to present, for your consideration, our new vocalist Brandon, formerly of Until This Day. For a while it was a toss-up between Brandon and Robo-Cop, but eventually we decided Robo-Cop might accidentally kill everybody. Thus, Brandon enters the TSE family. We will be re-recording vocals and hopefully have our new EP out within a month or two. Our first show with Brandon will be on Thursday, Nov. 17 in Douglasville. Go to our Myspace (www.myspace.com/theonlysilentescape) for more details. Thanks to everyone who's supported us through this whole thing, a lot of tough decisions have been made within the last couple of weeks. - Pablo Diablo
THINGS AND MORE THINGS 09-07-05 -------------- Many things have been happening in the TSE camp. S'mores, campfire songs, snakes in boots, the whole bit. Anyway we're almost done writing two new songs, and we'll be going into the studio on Friday to record with a good-lookin' dude named Lee. Thanks for everybody who came out to the Orange Amps show. Special thanks to our pals Dead Reckless and Fixed Til Tuesday for bookending the Nonstop Block of Rock, and to Serious J's not-that-identical twin for appreciating our energy. - Pablo Diablo
BY POPULAR DEMAND 07-24-05 -------------- Pablo hasn't updated in a long time. Pablo is ashamed. In other news, TSE will be playing in Savannah, GA on July 25 with Knee Deep and Drowning, Dead Reckless, Practically Athens, Ezra Killed The Optimist, Dancefloor Tragedy, Estrela, and Moving On. Go to Mapquest for directions, dearest friends. - Pablo Diablo
WE'RE GOIN' TO TEXAS! 07-07-05 -------------- Well we're starting our 2005 Summer mini-tour, and the dates are as follows:
We'll be kicking it off at The Vineyard CC on July 7 with The Surrender and some other awesome bands. Nor Am I won't be playing that show, but on the rest of the dates they will. - Pablo Diablo
FOUND: SEX MACHINE SUPERHERO 06-26-05 -------------- Yes, our new bass player is a loan shark from Jersey. In his spare time he likes stealing cars, killing people, and long walks on the beach. His name is Garbonzo the Magnificent. Come check him out on June 29 at Swayze's. And wait 'til you see his 'Oh!'. - Pablo Diablo
NEEDED: SEX MACHINE SUPERHERO 05-26-05 -------------- Well, it's that time again. Our beloved bass player, the handsome Brian Sorenson, has opted to part ways with The Silent Escape for personal reasons (rumor has it he's training to be a cage fighter). His last official show with TSE will be the May 28th show with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster. If you are a bass player and want to be in a band, shoot us an email at info@roundingthirdrock.com. Our requirements are: 1. You're out of high school 2. You have live experience as well as recording experience (touring experience is a definite plus) 3. You have your own bass gear duh 4. You're accustomed to horseplay, pranks, oddball humor, and the occasional homoerotic situation. - Pablo Diablo
THE PERFECT MOMENT 05-22-05 -------------- We have confirmed a show at The Basement (used to be the Greenhouse) with Heroic Me, The Murdered, and Maylene and The Sons of Disaster (Dallas from Underoath). MEGA fun times a million thousand. Thanks to everyone who came out to the last Atherton show, it was freaking sick! Sicker than me after 87oz of cookie dough. For directions to the Maylene show go to Mapquest or go back in time through a time machine and acquire previous knowledge of its location. - Pablo Diablo
I SEE YOUR SCHWARTZ IS AS BIG AS MINE 05-17-05 -------------- Hello friends and neighbors. We have a few more dates lined up for our pokey little summer tour, you'll know about them as soon as we get everything confirmed. Until then, tell your friends that The Silent Escape totally scored with you because we're so cool. Oh, and we're rewriting Creative Suicide, so make sure to come to our shows and maybe we'll play it if it's done but it probably won't be but come anyway. Intentional Run-on sentence? Yes. Also, if you live near the Marietta area or want to drive there, The Matt Hull (he's the drummer, like omg) is going to play a set with Atherton for their very last show ever at Swayze's on May 21. Our pals Nor Am I, Westend, Kelly's Heroes, and Chamberlain's Charge will be there, so go check it out. The new website does, in fact, have some bugs, and maybe I'll fix them soon if I become un-lazy. - Pablo Diablo
WELCOME TO MY CRIB 05-10-05 -------------- Welcome to the new website! You may be thinking or saying out loud or even shouting, "Hey, Pablo Diablo, this is exactly like the other one!" You're absolutely right. Only you're completely wrong. All the graphics and stuff that said Rounding Third now say The Silent Escape. We also have new buddy icons and backgrounds on the Media page. The Pics page will be up within the next week. The website looks the same, but I actually had to rebuild the whole thing from scratch, so give me a break you nugget. The new merch will be here in a couple of weeks. We'll be selling two new shirts and a couple of other things, too. If you want to buy any of the old Rounding Third stuff, go to the Merch page or shoot us an email at merch@roundingthirdrock.com. - Pablo Diablo
READ THIS, YOU GOON!!! 04-29-05 -------------- Rounding Third, after much debate, is officially changing its name. There's another well-established band who probably like the name a lot more than we do. Opting for a name that better suited our situation, we are now to be known as The Silent Escape. Because of this, we are being billed as The Silent Escape at the Lucideye Battle Of The Bands on April 30. So if you're coming on Saturday to see Rounding Third, You'll have better luck if you look for The Silent Escape. More details on the name change later. - Pablo Diablo
MASTERS OF THE DISSONANT HARMONY 03-18-05 -------------- We have confirmed our show on April 16. We're coming back to the Dub, and hopefully this time it won't take 6 hours to get there. We'll be playing with Stranger By Day, Nor Am I, and My Hostage (former members of Evergreen Terrace). For directions to the Legion Hall, look up 2503 Moore Station Road, Dublin, GA on Mapquest. Don't forget we're playing on April 2 with Stranger By Day at Swayze's. We're still selling tickets to the Lucideye BOTB on April 30 so support local music and come root for your homeboys in Rounding Third. If you live near Chattanooga, TN or feel like driving there, we're playing at Club Fathom on April 9 with our new pals Until This Day. - Pablo Diablo
SHOW SHIFT. 03-07-05 -------------- Our show on April 9 at Swayze's has been moved to April 2 with Stranger By Day. On April 9 we will be playing in Chattanooga or somewhere, TN. If you haven't already, read the previous post. - Pablo Diablo
SELF-ESTEEM 03-04-05 -------------- Everybody go look at our guestbook and read the semi-mean comment somebody left us. It's a sad story: The guy who wrote it was feeling bitter, depressed, and sexually confused. He got on his parents' computer, looked up our website, and wrote a comment he thought would hurt our feelings. Since he was too much of a whale's vagina to put his real name, he felt very cowardly and worthless. He looked in a mirror, and told himself "I'm not a loser. Size doesn't matter." He then jerked off to this picture (his turn-ons are guys that don't look like butch girls) and cried himself to sleep. You may wonder, "Why is Pablo Diablo taking the time to write HTML to explain this tool's actions?" Because he needs help, that's why. If you know who left that comment, and you really care about this person, do him a favor and punch him in the scrotum. Because friends don't let friends be little bitches. - Pablo Diablo
NEW PUREVOLUME NEEDS YOUR HELP 03-03-05 -------------- As you may know, we changed our Purevolume address from www.purevolume.com/rounding_third to www.purevolume.com/roundingthird. The nice guys that run Purevolume won't, unfortunately, let us transfer our plays from www.purevolume.com/rounding_third. This is why we need your help. Having almost 3000 plays on PV made us feel really happy and warm inside, and we want it to happen again on the new one. When you go on the site, you can click each song once and wait until it starts playing. You don't even have to listen to the whole song for it to count as a play. I know you want to listen to our music, but not everybody has time to. If one person does this every 24 hours, we'll get 3 plays a day. If just one of you gets 10 people to do this, that's 30 plays a day! At that rate it would take a couple of months to reach our goal, but if 10 of you each get 10 people you know to play all the songs once a day, we'd have it done in just over a week! (You see where this is going). So get EVERYBODY YOU KNOW to go listen to all our songs at least once a day, or as often as they can, and get us back up to 3000-ish!!! If we have 3000 plays on www.purevolume.com/roundingthird by Sunday, March 12, we'll put every song from the new EP up on there, including the unprinted new version of Forever Yours. Go! Go now! Tell everybody! - Pablo Diablo
I STILL HATE HTML 02-25-05 -------------- I put a PurePlayer on the Music Page so you can listen to our glorious hymnals without leaving the comfort of this website. Enjoy. P.S. it might not work on Mozilla Firefox. If it's not working on good old corporate trash Internet Explorer you might need to go download the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player. - Pablo Diablo
I HATE HTML 02-23-05 -------------- If you haven't noticed, we now have a Guestbook that you can and should sign. Also, if you have any pics of us (like this one) at the Take Action Tour (or any other shows, for that matter) please contact us at info@roundingthirdrock.com and if we use them, we'll give you full credit and tell everybody you're cool and maybe hook you up with some free stuff. You may notice that the word SHOWS in the right-hand column of this page is a link. It lists almost every show we've played since we released the Creative Suicide EP, and we'll continue to list shows on that page for ever and ever. COME TO OUR SHOWS - Pablo Diablo
CONSUME!!! 02-12-05 -------------- We love playing at The Masquerade. We love it so much we booked yet another show there. Speaking of Masquerade shows, THANK YOU to everybody who supported us at the Take Action Tour show. Even without Head Automatica, it was really really fun. Sorry we ran out of CDs, and thank you for buying lots of our stuff. Maybe we can get Guitarist Stage Right a new guitar soon. Be sure to check out our upcoming shows, come have more fun, and maybe buy more stuff. Then we'll party. Hard. - Pablo Diablo
DUB Y'ALL 02-04-05 -------------- Five guys in a band called Rounding Third drove 6 hours in the ice and slush, risking life and limb and car to play music in a town in middle Georgia. To their surprise, literal hundreds of people filled a tiny room with poor lighting to watch them, Nor Am I, and some other amazing bands. Thank you Big Dub for being possibly the coolest town in the world. We in Rounding Third cordially invite you to attend our other shows, listed in the right-hand column of this page, and challenge you to come try and have more fun than us. - Pablo Diablo
NEW SHOWS 01-17-05 -------------- We have some great shows coming up that you can't miss. We'll be playing at The Masquerade on January 19, and on the 29th we're goin' on down to Dublin to play with Nor Am I. It's their last show with their amazing drummer JC, so you better be there. On February 5th we'll be playing at The Masquerade on the Take Action Tour. We'll be supporting Sugarcult, Hawthorne Heights, Head Automatica, The Early November, and 7-10 Split. If you buy tickets from Ticketmaster, they'll probably be well over $20, but if you buy one from us, they're $16. We'll also be playing on March 11 at The Vineyard. In other exciting news, we're in the process of getting our new 4 song demo mastered, and we'll be coming out with a whole bunch of new merch really soon. Stay tuned and thanks for buying our stuff and signing up for our mailing list. - Pablo Diablo
CHECK IT 12-29-04 -------------- Thanks to everybody who came out and supported us at our two end of the year shows. Both of them were a lot of fun for us, and hopefully for you. We'll be playing more shows within the next couple of months, and hopefully by then we'll have more merch and maybe even the new EP. Speaking of which, we're laying down the last few vocal parts and should begin the final mix within a few days. Be sure to stay tuned so you know when to come rock out with us at our next show. - Pablo Diablo
